COERR Kanchanaburi has been supporting the vulnerable displaced persons in Ban Don Yang temporary shelter, Kanchanaburi Province, and Ban Tham Hin temporary shelter, Ratchaburi Province, to do farming in order to produce food for their consumption.
It is expected that knowledge and skills experienced from farming will enable them to have a career that generate income for their living in the future when they return to their home.
In November, EVI group of 23 farmers in Ban Don Yang temporary shelter, harvested 23 kgs. of Morning Glories in baskets. Moreover, they also gathered to make dish washing liquids. Part of the products had been shared amongst the trainees for household use, and the other part had been distributed to 80 extremely vulnerable individuals, including a 221.5 kgs. of bean sprout.
On November 22, 2022, in Ban Tham Hin temporary shelter, a group of villagers attended COERR’s soap making activity in which 68 bars of soap were produced. The products would be shared among the group and some vulnerable villagers under COERR Program.
The activities made the participants in Ban Don Yang and Ban Tham Hin temporary shelters feel satisfied and happy that while producing the products for themselves, they could also share the products with other vulnerable displaced persons.
